Made to order
Triple agonist of the GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors
Retatrutide 10 mg
A molecule acting on three metabolic receptors at once. The first two are incretins, which regulate satiety and insulin secretion; the third, the glucagon receptor, adds an energy expenditure component that dual molecules do not have. That is why it is studied with a different expectation than semaglutide or tirzepatide.
- CAS
- 2381089-83-2
- Formula
- C221H342N46O68
- Molecular weight
- ≈ 4731 g/mol
- Sequence
- Análogo peptídico de 39 aminoácidos con cadena lipídica de acilación
- Purity
- ≥ 98% verified by HPLC
- Presentation
- Amber glass vial with lyophilized powder, vacuum sealed.
- Includes 3 ml BAC waterIn the same box, at no cost.
How it works
- GLP-1 receptor agonism: slows gastric emptying and increases the central satiety signal.
- GIP receptor agonism: enhances the glucose-dependent insulin response.
- Glucagon receptor agonism: increases energy expenditure and hepatic lipid mobilisation.
- Acylation extends the half-life enough to allow weekly application.
Qué dice la evidencia
- Phase 2 trial in adults with obesity: dose-dependent weight reduction at 48 weeks.
- Reduction of liver fat in participants with steatosis within the same clinical programme.
Route described in the studies
- Route
- Subcutaneous weekly, in the abdomen, thigh or arm.
- Preparation
- Reconstitute with BAC WATER against the vial wall, without shaking. Titration requires checking the volume at every step change.
- Application site
- Rotate the site week to week.
Documented effects
- Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and constipation, dose-dependent and more frequent when stepping up
- Increased resting heart rate described in the trial
- Reduced appetite that can compromise protein intake if not monitored
When it is not used
- Personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2
- Previous pancreatitis
- Concomitant use of another incretin agonist
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Storage
- Lyophilised
- 2 to 8 °C protected from light. Stable up to 24 months unopened.
- Reconstituted
- 2 to 8 °C. Use within 30 days. Do not freeze.
- Shipping
- Stable at ambient temperature in lyophilized form during shipping.
Preguntas frecuentes
Can a titration step be skipped?
The trial schedule keeps four weeks per step. Shortening it concentrates gastrointestinal events, which are the main reason for dropout in the studies.
What if the volume does not fit in the syringe?
It means the vial was reconstituted with too much water. The calculator warns you, and the fix is to redo the dilution, never to apply the same dose twice.
