GHK-Cu: the review that gathered its regenerative effects on skin

The copper tripeptide stimulates collagen, elastin and fibroblast function, according to the data reviewed.

GHK is a natural tripeptide (glycyl-histidyl-lysine) that binds copper. This review gathered studies showing it stimulates blood-vessel and nerve outgrowth, increases collagen, elastin and glycosaminoglycan synthesis, and supports skin fibroblast function.

The genetic data reviewed indicate that GHK modulates the expression of thousands of human genes linked to repair and cell protection. It is a narrative review: it summarises cell, animal and some human studies.

In three points

  • Literature review on the copper tripeptide
  • More collagen, elastin and fibroblast function
  • Modulates the expression of repair genes
