Cibinetide, peptide derived from the B helix of erythropoietin
ARA-290 (Cibinetide) 10 mg
Eleven amino acids taken from the region of erythropoietin that activates tissue repair, deliberately separated from the one that stimulates red blood cell production. It is the clearest example of a peptide designed to keep one effect and discard the other.

How it works
- Agonism of the innate repair receptor (EPOR/CD131 complex).
- No activity on the haematopoietic receptor: it does not raise haematocrit.
- Modulates the inflammatory response in peripheral neural tissue.
Qué dice la evidencia
- Non-erythropoietic peptide with tissue repair activity and no effect on haematocrit.
- Improved nerve fibre density in patients with sarcoidosis and small fibre neuropathy.
